My Experience.

Those information was find online and thanks for unemploymentcanada.ca
in my case, I was left the company by Jan 15, 2019. and I was submit the EI request right way. After that, I was back to China until March 1st, 2019. during the time in China I was received some phone call from Service Canada. But I missed all the phone. After I can back, I am not sure what happening with my EI. I checked, but I did not have any mail from Service Canada.
So what I choose to do is register a Service Canada online account. turning out, they did not have my ROE. ( from my previous two companies) I guess the reason is both of them file the ROE by paper.
I bring my ROE, visit Service Canada, submit it to front desk. and they said they will have decision made by Mar 27, 2019. Not sure, why it took 19 days to issue the EI, during the time, I might can pay my rental and credit card bill.
That sucks.
